Mother's Day

Last year for Mother's Day we went out for "lunch". We tried a couple different restaurants with 2 hour waiting lists and eventually ended up at Texas Road House in Elkhart. In the end, we got a table after 3:00! This was not my idea of an enjoyable time. So ... this year for Mother's Day we went to church, came home for lunch and then did nothing. It was nice! Clint cooked for me! Can it get any better than that?! :)

The flowers are from Clint. He's so great at bringing flowers to me ... even for "just because" days! :)


Rebekah has discovered sticky notes. She stuck a note on the flower vase for me. This is one of many notes. :)
These gifts are from the kids ... Ben made this plate in school. I'm so glad he thinks I'm the "world's best cook"! :) Bekah made the pot with "gems" on it. They all fell off with the glue they used so we redid it together, which was fun. The letter is from John Michael. It is the most beautiful letter ever! Michael and Anna spent the day with their mom but left a card for me. I'm so grateful for kids who truly love and appreciate me!!
