Fun Times

Last weekend the kids and I were in the Elkhart County 4-H Fair parade as a part of the Ryan's Place float. The kids were so excited about handing out candy! They were all troopers in walking and making sure the kids got the candy they wanted. It was a great time for the kids. But, oh so hot!

Last Wednesday the kids and I went to the Wildlife Farm in Topeka with my mom and Sissa (Melissa). We had never been there before and were pleasantly surprised. They had lions, tigers and bears ... oh my. :) We had fun being amazed with what the small town of Topeka is capable of. The family owned farm was fun to explore. John Michael, Bekah and I even went on a short wagon ride being pulled by a pony.
Ben and Bekah loved holding these rabbits! Can you see the naturally caring hearts? :)
This goat was hilarious! As soon as we walked up to the fence it stuck it's head through. It apparently just wanted to be petted but completely startled me as I was the closest one to the fence. It cracked us up!
This 9 week old pot belly pig was so cute. It's amazing to me how something so small and cute can grow up to be so unattractive. :) We saw the parents earlier and they weren't so cute. :) The kids really enjoyed this little guy.

Hi Rose!
I agree with the pot-bellied pig thing. Cute as babies but not so cute grown up. It's always good to hear how things are going.
