Turning 40

Ok, so I turned 40 yesterday. It still seems strange to think that I'm not in my 30's anymore... it's so foreign to me.

We had some of Clint's cousins and their wives over for dinner. It was a last minute deal. On Saturday we were at a family reunion and his cousin, Wayne, asked what we were doing for my birthday. There was no party planned at all since I had kept saying that I didn't want one. In the end I said that we would be with them on my birthday. Long story short, we had a great time with the cousins, their parents and Clint's parents.

Clint kept asking me what I wanted for my birthday. The only thing I kept thinking of was a pretty teapot with a warmer. He kept looking at me like I had lost my mind and had no idea what do about this request of mine. :) Even John Michael thought it was a strange thing to want. :) I wasn't even sure where I could send him to get one. I just knew that I wanted one. So he calls his mom up, who loves dishes and knows where to go to get them, and asks her to get a teapot for me. The one in the picture is what they got for me! I love it! It's so beautiful!

Clint is still searching for my gift. :) He's taken me shopping for some hiking pants but we haven't been able to find the right size for me. I've been wanting some so it's a good gift for me.

Happy birthday dear Rose.
Happy birthday to you.
Wow! We're getting older aren't we? Where has the time gone? Remember all the crazy things we did as kids? Now we're all grown up and never do any stupid things anymore. Yeah right! I hope you had a wonderful birthday.
