I'm Ok ... I'm Finished ...

First of all, I need to tell you that I'm fine. It took me a couple days to work through all the emotions of the 5 year anniversary. Sunday was still a challenge to get through but Monday came and I had a good day. It's been a good week so far. :)

I think this was one of my hardest anniversaries yet. I'm not sure why. Maybe simply because 5 years seems like such a major mark. I remember when my kids turned 5 it was a big deal. With this being the 5 year mark it was a big deal to me! Interesting ...

I finished our friend's landscaping! I worked and worked the week of July 4th to get this done for him! He is pleased with the outcome, which is good. :) Here are some before and after photos for you ...


The first before and after is one that had old perrenials in it and simply needed to be cleaned out. I put his strawberries and tea in there. The strawberries are kind of sad-lookin' but they'll be ok.
The Weeds! photo is the walkway going down to the patio/pool area. It was so full of weeds that it took me several days of pulling and spraying weedkiller to get it cleaned out. I wish I had a before photo of the weeds. You can see the piles of weeds on the stones that I hadn't thrown out yet.
The hosta bed was a nightmare! I was able to give away 70 hosta plants from this bed! I spent way too many hours separating these plants. So not fun! The groundcover bed was a nightmare too! It was basically a fly magnet so I got rid of all of those plants. The change is amazing and fun for me. :) It'll be more fun to see it progress over the next couple years. Yes, I enjoy gardening! :)
