Spring Break!

I'm so happy that it's spring break! I love having my kids home and I get a whole week with them!
On Wednesday we are planning on going to Pittsburgh for several days. I'm really looking forward to spending some time with Grandmom and the rest of the family.
It's also having to face the reality head-on that PopPop will not be there to greet us. This is a harsh reality for me. It was always a joy to see his smile, hear his laugh, and to be able to walk into his open arms for the perfect greeting. It was always fun to watch the kids run to him with excitement. I miss that! I miss him!! It will be a "first" to go back to Pittsburgh and not have that special greeting waiting for us.
So I'm having to work through this issue this weekend. I've been pushing it aside for days. I don't like it when I do that ... I need to deal with it. My way of "dealing with it" is by journalling and talking about it.
I am so grateful to have Grandmom in my life. I enjoy the conversations that her and I have. We understand each other more than ever now ... I don't like the reason why we have that understanding but this is our reality.

Over the next few days we will be home, just hangin out. On Tuesday the kids will be spending time at my mom's. Wednesday we will be travelling to Pittsburgh and back home on Saturday.
On Sunday, the 13th, we will be going to Clint's parents for the annual Easter lunch and hunt. There are always lots of filled eggs along with a large basket to find too.
