Wow! What a crazy last two weeks!!!
First we had spring break...
We were able to spend a few days in Pittsburgh, which was good. Even as it was good, it was emotionally hard for me. It was the first time back with PopPop being gone. The "firsts" are always hard to go through. This one was extremely hard for me. But I got through it and am glad the "first" is done. It was good to spend time with family again!
Last week I spent a lot of time making sure last night's the big wheelchair basketball event was ready to happen. Oh my goodness, so many people went out of their way to thank me and say how great it was. I feel like all my efforts paid off...it was a lot of work! I just wanted people to have a great time and appreciate what people with physical disabilities have to do to enjoy basketball. I think that was accomplished.
I was happy to see my family there! Uncle Dave, Aunt Lucy, Mike, Doretta and the kids came! I wish I could've spent time talking with them but I was all over the place. I guess that's a sacrifice you make with you're the coordinator of the event.
Nothing deep and spiritual today. Just a quick update ... more later. I'm off to church.
