Phonethip Mounsithiraj was Clint's best friend for 30 years. Phonethip died and went to be with Jesus forever on Monday morning. P, as we call him, was from the country of Laos. His family came to the states when he and Clint were 10 and 11 years old. They became best friends while P's family lived next door to Clint's family. Clint is hurting and grieving deeply. I am trying to be strong for him in order to be able to support him, although that's hard for me. He was asked by the family to do/direct the memorial service on Saturday night. He's not sure how he will get through it but I have a feeling that he'll do a great job.
Clint and Phonethip loved going to The Algonquin Park in Canada together. This was a place of some healing and God-time for the both of them. They created some really great memories on their trips together.
