Field Trip and Africa

Today I went on a field trip with Bekah's 2nd grade class. Her class went on the same field trip this past spring and it was so much fun that I decided to go again. There is a great farm south of South Bend that is geared towards children. The owner, Farmer Charlotte, is so great with the kids. She showed them around the vegetable gardens, the fields with chickens, calf, horses, goats and turkeys. My favorite part was taking a walk through the woods. We found a treehouse in progress and a log cabin being built. I love the woods so I would have been fine with being there all day today.
Bekah and her best friend had a great time hangin' out. Her and Nicole are in 2 of the pictures.

Well, Clint is in Africa this week. He went with Pastor Mark and two ladies from The Vineyard. Since Clint is the missions pastor (that's one of his responsibilities) he gets to go on the missions trips. What a great job! So they are in Sudan right now working with Pastor Stanley, who runs an orphanage and plants churches in Sudan. He is one of those people who you fall in love with without even meeting him. He has an amazing heart for the people of his native country Sudan. Clint and Mark will be doing some leadership training with area pastors, government leaders, tribal leaders, etc. The ladies, Dawn and Kathy, will be working with the children at the orphanage. They both really wanted me to go with them! The four of them are an incredible team! I'm so looking forward to hearing their stories and seeing the video and pictures!!
