South Sudan

This is this year's South Sudan team. 

Yes, I am going to Yei, South Sudan again! I'm so looking forward to seeing the wonderful people who love Jesus unlike anyone I have ever seen in my life. Once again, we have a great team. 

We will be leaving Sept. 24 and returning 9 days later. Some will be part of a medical team. Others will be focusing on art and teaching children bible stories. I will be leading the photography part of the trip again. I have a BIG job ahead of me! I will need to make sure all 102 children get their own photo taken. This sounds very easy, but trust me, it's not. When all the children have the same haircut and are running all over, it can be a challenge. Even with an organized plan in place I spent hours and hours sorting through 5000+ photos last year. Clint will be leading the team and will be responsible for checking in on the ministries connected to The Vineyard Church.

 Pastor Stanley Lonathan has been in the USA for the past month. This was his first time in the country. We were able to spend some time with him at The Vineyard and then in our home as well.

How can you not fall in love with those beautiful faces? :)

This is our "adopted son" James. Clint and James made a special connection with football the first time they met. We have prayed for him as a family for 2 years now. James wants to be a pastor when he grows up. :)

I let some of the children use my camera for a few minutes and it was so much fun! I wasn't sure I was going to get the camera back. :) It was a highlight of my time there last year.

Just one of the reasons I love the people of South Sudan.

This will be a great time!! I can't wait to see their beautiful faces and hear their wonderful singing voices!
